What is it?

The Premium Visa is a visa issued that allows non-citizens of Mauritius to stay on the island for a period of 6 months to 1 year.

The purpose of this kind of visa is to encourage foreigners to come and stay longer as tourists, retirees or professionals to work remotely from Mauritius.

Who can apply?

Any non-citizens that are from countries listed according to the guidelines from the Mauritian authorities.

How to Qualify?

To qualify for the Premium Visa, applicants must provide proof of his/her long stay plans and sufficient travel and health insurance for the initial period of stay.

The following criteria should also be met:-

Applicants should not enter the
Mauritius labour market

The main place of business and/or source of income and profits should be outside Mauritius

Documentary evidence to support the application such as the purpose of visit, accommodation etc

Other basic immigration requirements
