Resident corporations wanting to run businesses outside Mauritius can apply for this license. To qualify the following should be met:

At least 2 directors who are residents in Mauritius
Bank account operations take place in Mauritius
Accounting records are kept and maintained in Mauritius
Preparation of all financial statements in Mauritius

GBC1 companies can be in the form of a Trust, Societe, or partnership

Global Business Licence (GBC 2)

This kind of business requires that a registered agent is in Mauritius at all times and only management companies can act as registered agents. The GBC 2 is a resident corporation conducting business outside Mauritius.
